shopping small this christmas
I am super determined to buy from independent sellers this year and choose unique gifts that my family and friends will love forever. However I often find it so tricky to know where to start. But this year I have seen lots of people doing gift guides/shouting out small businesses and I have discovered loads of new shops, which I absolutely love! I thought I’d share my faves with you.
Beautiful and unusual ceramics in the dreamiest of colours and patterns, she has also just launched some Christmas decorations!
There are a great collection of coasters, plant pots and even some candle holders available on her website. I love the bright and cheerful colours, her posts always make me smile!
3. Grafton Yard
The prettiest candles I ever did see! They look like heaven for a self care Sunday moment.
My fave stationary company! I use their daily to-do list pad everyday, it’s such a good layout and they come in the funkiest of designs.
5. Becky Knott
Big fan of Becky’s cards! They’re designed so beautifully, I have purchased the cat and dog cards before for Birthdays and currently have my eye on some Christmas cards…
Common Ground Collective is a wonderful charity which promotes physical and mental wellbeing through art for people from marginalised communities and they have some arty kits to keep our hands busy. This clay one looks like SO much fun over a rainy weekend, with every kit purchased a kit also is donated to someone who needs one this Christmas - a win win!
7. Ooz Studio
This is my super talented pal ‘s business! Millie has always been such a pro with anything print and these artworks make the perfect gift for an animal lover.
8. Amber Hards
Amber creates the most delicious looking knitwear. Everything looks insanely cosy and soft, I love the huge roll neck on this jumper especially!
9. Limpet Store
I’ve followed Limpet store on Instagram for ages and I love the playfulness of their embroidery. Their jumpers and tees look pretty perfect for lounging in too!
10. Emma Dearling
Another pal of mine who has started selling some of her illustrations, she has some fun birthday cards, prints and recently some Christmas cards too. You may have seen in my stories that I recently brought myself a pack of her cards!
Steph creates some gorgeous woven goodies from pouches to scrunchies and always has the best colour palettes!
12. Mor Studio
Mor Studio is a recent discovery of mine, they create the most beautiful jewellery in Cornwall using sea glass. Their pieces are super wearable while being something a little different to anything you’d find on the high-street, I’m a big fan!
