Personal information I collect

When you visit the Site, I automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, I collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. I refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”. 

I collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, I collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information including credit card numbers and email address. I refer to this information as “Order Information”. 

When I talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, I’m talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

Newsletter - When you sign up for the imogen melissa newsletter, I collect your email address, and your first name where necessary, in order to send you updates on the latest launches, sales and back in stock information as well as, I will not use this information for any other purpose. How I use your personal information

I use the Order Information that I collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, I use this Order Information to: 
- Communicate with you; 
- Screen my orders for potential risk or fraud; and 
- If you have opted in to the newsletter sign up I will provide you with information or advertising relating to my products or services. 

-When you browse my store, I also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide me with information that helps to learn about your browser and operating system.

I use the Device Information that I collect to help screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise the Site (for example, by generating analytics about how my customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of the marketing and advertising campaigns). 

I do not pass your information on to anyone, and without your consent, you will not receive any further marketing emails from us. 

If you do opt to sign up for my mailing list, at any time you can opt to ‘unsubscribe’ or get in touch to have your details removed or amended.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide me with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your payment details, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return an order, I imply that you consent to collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

For our mailing lists, all subscribers are sent an email to confirm their consent before any newsletters are sent.

Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I’m required to provide to them for your purchase - related transactions. At imogen melissa I use Apple Pay, Stripe and Paypal to process your payments.  I do not have access to your payment details, these details are stored with these providers. Remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave my store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.

N.B: "Third Parties" are only ever programmes or websites used to help run my business, such as Pay Pal (when you opt to pay via Pay Pal) or Royal Mail (in order to generate shipping labels for your parcels) Your data is never "sold" to anyone for my gain, or passed on for any third party to use for their own marketing purposes. 

Sharing your Personal Information 

I share your Personal Information with third parties to help use your Personal Information, as described above.

For example, I use Squarespace to power the online store. They provide me with an online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell my products to customers. Personal information such as delivery address and email address is shared with Royal Mail in order to create your shipping labels for your orders. Their privacy policy is here https://www.royalmail.com/business/privacy-policy/

Finally, I may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. 

Your Rights  

In line with GDPR, you have the right to access personal information I hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact me through the contact information below. 

Additionally, if you are a European resident I note that I am processing your information in order to fulfil contracts I might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States. 

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, I will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask me to delete this information. You also have the right to ask for the information during the order process. Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence and you have given your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
