April Monthly Bead Box
Say hello to the monthly bead box. Where each month a box of 10 beads and sequins will be released to the website, at the start of each month. The idea is to provide a beading project to get stuck into each month.
April’s bead box is an Easter bonanza to make 3 beaded Easter egg decorations! Inside are 3 miniature embroidery hoops in the oval shape, once beaded and framed up they look like miniature easter eggs. The palette of the box is filled with soft pastel tones to make the perfect Easter Decorations.
The Easter bead box is the most jam packed box I’ve created which has meant I’ve had to increase the price of this month’s box slightly. However you are still saving money if you were to buy all these pieces separately from imogen melissa and you get some mini eggs to snack on while you bead, what’s better?!
Please note there are no instructions in the monthly bead box. These boxes are aimed at customers who have completed an imogen melissa kit before, or are confident beginners.
There will be an Instagram live on Monday the 14th of April, where Imogen will run a stitch along. She will bead one of the easter egg decorations and chat you through the whole process. You’re able to ask any questions here too as we share ideas with each other. Bring your box and we can bead and chat away!
To have everything you’ll need to dive straight into this box, you just need to add a set of beading needles. You can add either a short, split or long beading needle, they can be found in the haberdashery section of the shop. You will also need an embroidery hoop (3, 4 or 5 inches in size) and either tailors chalk or a water erasable pen to mark out the area to bead. I’m aware some of you may have these to hand at home, if not both can be brought from imogen melissa and have been linked below.
Inside the April Box:
10 bead/sequin packets (8 seed bead & 2 sequin packets)
3 square of linen fabric (6×6 inches, 1 pale pink, 1 lilac and 1 lime green)
3 miniature oval embroidery hoops
1 metre of crystal organza ribbon
1 pale pink beading thread
1 mini packet of mini eggs
Each bead bag contains 4g of seed beads while the the sequins contain 1g.
